I'
m saved, but I’m struggling!
I came to Christ at a young age. I thought I knew God, but I didn’t truly understand who God was as a young girl. I also lacked a real relationship with my Father, God, until I was about 21.
I have made several mistakes on my journey; before and after coming into the knowledge of who God was. The closer I got to Him the more I wanted to please my Father. I began to see God in a whole new light, and I didn’t want to disappoint Him by making decisions that pleased my flesh.
Now many of you reading this may have been baptized and confessed that Jesus died and rose again, but you know there’s work to do after that right? Have you heard the saying that you have to fight to stay right? Well you have too! It’s a struggle sometimes, but guess what? God doesn’t want you to be perfect, He wants you to make progress.
How to combat the struggle!
1. Read your word daily, it will transform your life.
2. Pray daily, stay in communion with the Father about everything. Big or small he wants to hear from you. Call on the Holy Spirit for guidance.
3. Run from temptation! Your love for God should be greater than your love for sin. Fasting helps you to discipline your spirit to fight temptation.
4. Remove yourself from people or habits that will pull you back.
5. Cast down thoughts that are from the enemy.
6. Live your life for Christ, be bold!
