I enjoy encouraging and inspiring others through my social media accounts, as the Holy Spirit leads me. Releasing words of hope and spreading positivity to Gods' people brings me great joy.
I've come to realize that social media can be a very useful and powerful tool. Although it can be useful, it can also operate as a powerful distraction. Social media can be greatly beneficial in several aspects of our lives, but on the contrary it can be mentally draining as well.
During the month of June I decided to take a break from social media. I unplugged from social media and also went on a fast. This allowed me to really focus on my well-being. I needed to refocus and readjust myself. Sometimes as Christians we can get caught up in the things of the world that we find ourselves being busy, and not being as productive as we should for God.
While on my fast I did a lot of praying. I lot of pouring myself out to God so that He could really deal with me. I also realized the importance of balance. It’s important to put the phone down and enjoy your family. Put the phone down and watch a movie without checking your notifications.
Most importantly above everything we have to put God first not our phones. We have to put the phone down and pray more, read more, worship more, and be devoted to the things of God MORE! Only what you do for Christ will last. Your life is meaningless if it does not bring glory to the Father.
