I use to be one that would wake up everyday and read my zodiac sign. Chillllleeee especially when it came to love. I wanted to know what sign my man needed to be for us to be a match. 🤣It wasn’t until I was taught by my Pastor in around 2012 that zodiac signs were linked to witchcraft. I immediately stopped reading them and I refuse to read them ever again.
I know you’re thinking friend, why was it wrong? Because I was seeking it to tell me about my future (similar to talking to a psychic) instead of seeking God. You can’t seek astrology and God. Scripture tells us we can’t serve two masters friend. (Matthew 6:24).
A lot of Christians are dabbling in witchcraft. Some knowingly, some unknowingly.
Deuteronomy 18:10-11 says. Let no one be found among you... who practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, or cast spells, or who is a medium or spiritist.
Be careful with all these modern day gospels. 1 John 4:1 tells us to not believe every spirit! Try the spirit by the spirit! Don’t be deceived.
Some have begun practicing techniques and being involved in activities that are heavily tied to witchcraft. If you are are unsure, just keep reading.
Ask yourself is this technique or practice teaching me that I can be my own God? (Jeremiah 17:5)
Ask yourself is this information teaching me how to grow closer to God or replacing Him in my life? (Exodus 20:3)
There’s a BIG ISSUE when you believe in the technique and not God!
Truth: God wants us to mediate (think deeply, focus) on his Word! (Gods word, the Bible, the sword of Truth)
Psalms 1:2 Tells us to meditate on the word (God’s truth) daily.
Error: When you believe the act of meditation and sitting in a certain position will do what only God can do this is witchcraft. Peace comes from God! Healing comes from God! Joy comes from God! These things only come from the God above, not the act of meditation.
Truth: God wants us to prosper and be in good health. (3 John 1:2) God wants us to exercise and take care of our temples.
Error: Some exercises that have been implemented or not of God. Always do you research and look at the origin before engaging in an activity that is promoted as spiritual. When the concept of the exercise contradicts the teachings of the gospel that’s where the issue lies. We should offer our bodies as a living sacrifice to God. (Romans 12:1-2) (Acts 15:29) Be careful and do your research.
Truth: God wants us to speak life. Life and death lies in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) God wants us to build each other up, not tear each other down.
Error: There’s a problem when you are speaking harm against God’s children. When you speak negatively against someone’s life, career, children, or destiny you are speaking word curses. (James 3:10)
Now, if you have done these things let’s repent! (1 John 1:9) Scripture tells us to confess our sins. (Isaiah 43:25. He remembers our sins no more! God is a forgiving God. He loves you so much! Nothing can separate you from the love of God! (Romans 8:35) “Therefore to him that knoweth to do good, and doeth it not, to him it is sin.” James 4:17 KJV
Pray this prayer with me:
Father, I’m sorry. I didn’t mean to involve myself in practices that weren’t pleasing to you. God I ask now that you forgive me. I repent for engaging myself in any idolatry and witchcraft practices and anything of that sort. Father I ask that you wash me! God Cleanse me with hyssop, and I will be clean; wash me, and I will be whiter than snow according to Psalms 51:7. God you are the only wise God! (Jude 1:25) You have all power and authority! Father forgive me for putting people, things, or activities before you! God I will put your first from this day forward! For I know that by putting you first, you will add to me.
Father I ask that you make me over again! Rid me of everything that has polluted my life, my character, and my relationship with you. I declare that I am a new creature according 2 Corinthians 5:17. God I need more of you! I pray now for self-control to remain steadfast and unmovable in my faith. Destroy the spirit of doubt, set fire to every lies the enemy has spoken to my mind, and erase my mind of all false doctrines and contradicting information that I have consumed. God your word is true! Your word is infallible! God I’m glad that I know your truth! I declare that your truth has set me free according to John 8:32. I am free indeed! I will not look back! I will press toward the mark of the high calling according to Philippians 3:14. I declare than I am a child of God! I am loved! I am chosen! And you will complete the good work that you have began in me!
